Description:
The objective of the consulting assignment is to help an IFC client (“Client”) to identify investment opportunities in Ukraine that will support its strategic business expansion. Specifically, the Client is considering expanding its operations to Ukraine in grains, oilseeds, potato and sugar beets processing by making one or more strategic M&A investments in local businesses already active in these areas. The consultant is expected to provide a business case and investment strategy for the specific opportunities identified in a form suitable for decision-making by the Client.The Scope of Work (SoW) includes four tasks: (i) sector assessments; (ii) mapping key players; (iii) investment opportunity identification; and (iv) M&A strategy. The SoW will focus on the Client-s priority crops: (i) corn; (ii) wheat; (iii) soybean; (iv) sunflower; (v) rapeseed; (vi) potato; and (vii) sugar beet.
